Multiple deaths after school bus collides with dump truck in New Jersey

A school bus taking children on a trip to a New Jersey historic site collided with a dump truck Thursday, ripping the bus apart and killing a teacher and student. The crash left the bus lying on Interstate 80 in Mount Olive, its undercarriage and front end sheared off and its steering wheel exposed. Some of the victims crawled out of the emergency exit in the back and an escape hatch on the roof. More than 40 people were taken to area hospitals. "I heard a scraping sound and we toppled over the highway," said fifth-grade student Theo Ancevski, who was sitting in the fourth row of the bus and was treated at a hospital for cuts and scrapes. "A lot of people were screaming and hanging from their seatbelts." New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said that one adult and one student were killed. Murphy said the truck driver was hospitalized, but officials didn't reveal his condition. The front end of the red dump truck was mangled in the wreck, which took place about 50 miles west of New York. The truck was registered to Mendez Trucking, of Belleville, and had "In God We Trust" emblazoned on the back of it. There were 45 people, including 38 students, on the bus. Forty-three people from the bus and the truck driver were taken to three area hospitals, where some were listed in critical condition. The bus was owned by the school district and had seat belts, according to Paramus schools superintendent Michele Robinson. There is no federal requirement for seat belts on full-sized school buses, but six states including New Jersey require them. The bus was one of three taking students from East Brook Middle School to Waterloo Village, a historic site depicting a Lenape Indian community and once-thriving port about 5 miles from the crash scene. The other buses made it to the site, but returned to the school about 50 miles away. Some of the children were inside the bus and some outside when first responders arrived, according to Jeff Paul, director of the Morris County Office of Emergency Management. "There were all kinds of injuries, every injury type you could expect in a crash of his magnitude." Paul said some of the first responders were "very emotionally upset. It was a rough scene to see." Thuy Nguyen, a nurse from Paramus, said she rushed to the school where her son was taking a test after hearing the news. "My heart just dropped, You hear the name of the school..." she said before trailing off. Robinson said that the district was cancelling school trips for the rest of the year. Mendez Trucking has about 40 drivers and trucks, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Its trucks have been in seven crashes in the last two years, none before Thursday's fatal, according to FMCSA. A message left with the company wasn't returned. Mendez has a higher than average vehicle out-of-service rate, which means inspections found violations which had to be corrected before the vehicle could be returned to service. Mendez's rate was 37.9 percent, according to FMCSA. The national average is 20.7. Mendez was fined $22,850 in 2016 for violating regulations on inspections, repairs and maintenance and post-crash drug and alcohol testing, according to the FMCSA. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 118 people on school buses were killed in crashes from 2007-2016, the last year for which data is available. Of those killed, 68 were passengers - including 58 school-age children - and 50 were drivers. School bus crashes killed 902 people in other vehicles over that span.

China air force lands bombers on South China Sea island

China's air force has landed bombers on islands and reefs in the South China Sea as part of a training exercise in the disputed region, it said in a statement. "A division of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) recently organized multiple bombers such as the H-6K to conduct take-off and landing training on islands and reefs in the South China Sea in order to improve our ability to 'reach all territory, conduct strikes at any time and strike in all directions'," it said in the statement issued on Friday. سعودی محکمہ شہری دفاع کے ترجمان خالد الساحلی کا کہنا تھا کہ زخمیوں کو ہر ممکن طبی امداد دی جا رہی ہے تاہم 6 زخمیوں کی حالت نہایت تشویشناک ہے۔ جاں بحق اور زخمی ہونے والے زیادہ تر افراد کا تعلق ایشیائی ممالک ہے تاہم ابھی تک کسی کی شناخت ظاہر نہیں کی گئی ہے۔ پولیس نے حادثے کی وجوہات کا تعین کرنے کے لیے تفتیش کا آغاز کردیا ہے۔

واضح رہے رمضان المبارک میں زائرین کی بڑی تعداد عمرہ کے لیے سعودی عرب کا رخ کرتی ہے جس کے باعث اس ماہ حریمین شریفین میں غیر معمولی رش ہوتا ہے۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق کراچی میں بھی سال کا گرم ترین دن ہے۔ دن 12 بجے درجہ حرارت 41 ڈگری تک جا پہنچا ہے جب کہ ہوامیں نمی کا تناسب 10 فیصدہے، سمندری ہواؤں کی بندش اور حبس کے باعث گرمی کی شدت 44 ڈگری محسوس کی جارہی ہے، شدید گرمی ، پانی کی بندش اور کے الیکٹرک کی جانب سے فنی خرابیوں کے نام پر طویل غیر اعلانیہ لوڈ شیڈنگ نے رمضان المبارک کے ابتدائی ایام میں لوگوں کی مشکلات بڑھا دی ہیں۔

محکمہ موسمیات نے ہفتے کے روز درجہ حرارت 43 ڈگری تک تجاوز کرنے کی پیش گوئی ہے جب کہ گرمی کی شدت مزید 5 روز تک برقرار رہے گی اور درجہ حرارت 40 ڈگری تک رہے گا۔

صوبائی حکومت نے صورت حال سے نمٹنے کے لیے کراچی کی مقامی انتظامیہ کو خصوصی ہدایات جاری کررکھی ہیں، کسی بھی ناخوشگوار صورت حال سے نمٹنے کے لیے شہر کے سرکاری اسپتالوں میں ایمرجنسی نافذ ہے۔

دوسری جانب سندھ اور بلوچستان میں شدید گرمی کی لہر برقرار ہے، کئی علاقوں میں دن 12 بجے ہی درجہ حرارت 42 ڈگری سے تجاوز کرگیا ہے۔

واضح رہے کہ 2015 میں بھی رمضان المبارک کے دوران شدید گرمی کی لہر آئی تھی جس کی زد میں آکر کم از کم 1600 افراد لقمہ اجل بن گئے تھے۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق کراچی کی انسداد دہشت گردی کی عدالت میں نقیب اللہ قتل کیس کی سماعت ہوئی، جیل حکام نے سابق ایس ایس پی ملیر راؤ انوار سمیت دیگر ملزمان کو عدالت کے روبرو پیش کردیا۔ مقدمے کی سماعت بند کمرے میں ہوئی۔ تفتیشی افسرنے سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج پر مشتمل سی ڈی اور دیگر شواہد عدالت کے روبرو پیش کردیئے تاہم مقدمے کے وکیل استغاثہ علی رضا ایڈووکیٹ پیش نہ ہوئے ان کی جگہ دیگر سرکاری وکلا پیش ہوئے۔

سماعت کے دوران صورت حال اس وقت پیچیدہ ہوگئی جب کہ سرکاری وکلا نے عدالتی نوٹس وصول کرنے سے انکار کردیا، جس پر فاضل جج نے حیرت کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے ریمارکس دیئے کہ حیرت ہے سرکاری وکلا نوٹس بھی وصول نہیں کررہے،  میں نے پہلے ہی ہائی کورٹ کو لکھا تھا کہ کیس بھیج رہے ہیں توعملہ اور سرکاری وکیل بھی بھیجیں۔ عدالت نے پیش کردہ سی ڈی کی کاپیاں پیش کرنے کا حکم دے دیا۔ کیس کی مزید سماعت 28 مئی کو ہوگی۔

مقدمے کے وکیل استغاثہ علی رضا عدالت میں پیش نہیں ہوئے، ان کی عدم موجودگی کے باعث دیگر سرکاری وکلا پیش ہوئے۔ سرکاری وکلا نے نام خفیہ رکھنے کی شرط پر میڈیا کو بتایا کہ علی رضا کا کہنا ہے کہ وہ راؤ انوار کے مقدمےمیں پیش نہیں ہوسکتا، اسے دھمکیاں مل رہی ہیں۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق کراچی کی انسداد دہشتگردی کی عدالت میں نقیب اللہ قتل کیس کی سماعت ہوئی، پولیس نے سابق ایس ایس پی ملیر راؤ انوار اور دیگر ملزمان کو عدالت میں پیش کیا، تفتیشی افسرنے سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج پر مشتمل سی ڈی اور دیگر شواہد عدالت کے روبرو پیش کردیئے۔

دوسری جانب انسداد دہشتگردی کی عدالت میں پیشی کے دوران جیل حکام کی راؤ انوار پر خصوصی کرم نوازیاں بھی جاری رہیں،  عدالتی ریمانڈ پر لائے گئے ہر ملزم کو نارنجی رنگ کی جیکٹ پہنائی جاتی ہے لیکن جیل حکام نے راؤ انوار کو نارنجی جیکٹ سے خود ہی استثنٰی دیئے رکھا۔

سماعت کے بعد میڈیا سے غیر رسمی بات کرتے ہوئے جب ایک صحافی نے پوچھا کہ راؤ انوار صاحب سنا ہے عدالت میں گرمی زیادہ ہے لیکن آپ تو ہشاش بشاش لگ رہے ہیں، جس پر راؤ انوار نے کہا کہ نہیں ایسی کوئی بات نہیں ہے۔ ایک اور صحافی نے سابق ایس ایس پی سے پوچھا کہ کمرہ عدالت میں ہوا کیا ہے آپ تو بڑے مسکراتے ہوئے نکلے ہیں، جس پر راؤ انوار نے کہا کہ عدالت میں کیا ہوا وہ میرے وکیل آپ کو بتا دیں گے، میرے وکیل آپ کو بی کلاس کی درخواست اور دیگر معاملات پر بتائیں گے۔

کراچی: امریکی ریاست ٹیکساس میں گزشتہ روز اسکول میں فائرنگ کے واقعے میں جاں بحق پاکستانی طالبہ سبیکا عزیز شیخ کے والد کا کہنا ہے کہ ان کی ننھی سی سبیکا کے بڑے بڑے خواب تھے۔

گزشتہ روز امریکی ریاست ٹیکساس کے شہر ہیوسٹن کے ایک ہائی اسکول میں اس وقت نہایت افسوسناک واقعہ پیش آیا جب ایک طالبعلم نےاسکول میں گھس کر اندھا دھند فائرنگ کردی جس کے نتیجے میں پاکستانی طالبہ سبیکا عزیز شیخ سمیت 10 افراد ہلاک اور متعدد زخمی ہوگئے۔

کراچی کے علاقے گلشن اقبال کی رہائشی سبیکا شیخ کے گھر والوں کو گزشتہ روز یہ اطلاع افطار کے بعد مقامی نیوز چینل سے ملی۔ سبیکا کے والد کا کہنا ہے کہ ان کی چھوٹی سی بیٹی کے بڑے بڑے خواب تھے۔ سبیکا تین بہنوں میں سب سے بڑی تھی۔ وہ یوتھ ایکسچیج اینڈ اسٹڈی پروگرام (یس) کے تحت 21 اگست 2017 کو تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے لیے ٹیکساس گئی تھی، اس پروگرام میں شرکت سے پہلے لیے گئے ٹیسٹ میں 6000 طلبا نے حصہ لیا تھا تاہم صرف75 طلبا ہی یہ ٹیسٹ پاس کرسکے تھےاور سبیکا شیخ کا نام ان طالبعلموں میں شامل تھا۔ سبیکا نے کراچی پبلک اسکول سے میٹرک کیا تھا، سیبکا انتہائی ہونہار طالبہ تھی ہمیشہ پہلی یا دوسری پوزیشن لاتی تھی. سیبکا کو 9 جون کو واپس آنا تھا، ہم سبیکا کی واپسی کا ایک ایک دن گن کر گزار رہے تھے۔ مجھے ابھی تک یقین نہیں آرہا کہ میری بیٹی چلی گئی۔

سبیکا کے والد کا کہنا ہے کہ فائرنگ کی اطلاع ملنے کے بعد سبیکا  اور اس کے دوستوں سے رابطہ کرنے کی بہت کوشش کی لیکن کسی نے فون نہیں اٹھایا، کوآرڈینیٹر سے رابطہ ہوا تو انھوں نے 4 سے 5 گھنٹوں میں سیبکا کے شہید ہونے کی تصدیق کردی۔ ٹیکساس میں پاکستانی ایمبیسی نے ہماری بہت مدد کی۔

امریکا میں تعنیات پاکستانی سفیر اعزاز احمد چوہدری نے ٹوئٹرپر سبیکا کی موت پر انتہائی دکھ کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ ان کی دعائیں سبیکا عزیز شیخ کے گھر والوں کے ساتھ ہیں۔

ہمارے معاشرے کا المیہ یہ ہے کہ جو لوگ سب سے زیادہ جہیز کے خلاف بولتے ہیں، وہی سب سے زیادہ جہیز کا تقاضہ کرتے ہیں۔ بس فرق صرف لفظوں اور لہجے کے استعمال کا ہوتا ہے، “ہمیں کچھ نہیں چاہیے، ہمارے پاس اللہ کا دیا سب ہے، بس آپ اپنی بیٹی کو اپنی خوشی سے جو دینا چاہیں دے دیں۔”

’’اپنی مرضی سے-اپنی خوشی سے‘‘ یہ وہ الفاظ ہیں، جس کو سننے کے بعد والدین کا بس نہیں چلتا کہ وہ اپنی پھول جیسی، لاڈوں سے پلی بیٹی کو سب کچھ دے دیں، حتی کہ گاڑی اور بنگلہ تک۔ ان الفاظ کی اس ہیر پھیر کا سب سے زیادہ استعمال پڑے لکھے اعلیٰ تعلیم یافتہ، ذی شعور لوگ کرتے ہیں۔ اور وہ لوگ جن کے گھر پہلے ہی چیزوں سے بھرے ہوئے ہوتے ہیں؛ جن کے ہاں پیسوں کی خوب ہیرپھیر رہتی ہے۔

آج کل جب کمانا اور کھانا دونوں ہی بہت مشکل کام ہو گیا ہے، تو اس دور میں لڑکے والوں کا جہیز کا مطالبہ والدین کو پریشانی میں مبتلا کر دیتا ہے۔ اچھے گھرانے میں رشتہ کرنے کی چاہ والدین کو ان کی ہر جائز اور ناجائز بات ماننے پر مجبور کر دیتی ہے۔ اچھے گھرانوں میں اکثر لوگ پڑھے لکھے اور امیر ہوتے ہیں۔ یعنی جتنا امیر اتنا ہی زیادہ اور اچھا جہیز دینا پڑتا ہے۔ اور اگر رشتہ باہر ملک کا ہو تو لوگ جہیز کے پیسوں کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ان کی بیٹی کے اکاؤنٹ میں ڈلوا دیے جائیں، ان کی بیٹی کے ہی کام آئیں گے۔ تعلیم یافتہ ہونے کے باوجود آج بھی ہم اپنے معاشرے کو جہیز کی لعنت سے آزاد نہ کراسکے، آج بھی لوگ جہیز کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن طریقے مختلف ہوگئے ہیں۔ پڑھے لکھوں کے پڑھے لکھے طریقے، اور امیروں کے امیرانہ طریقے۔

اسلام میں جہیز کا کوئی تصور نہیں، جہیز خالصتاً ہندوانہ رسم ہے جو اب ہماری روایات کا حصہ بن گئی ہے۔ ہم اسے اس طرح سے سنبھالے ہوئے ہیں، جیسے یہ ہمارا عقیدہ ہو یا کوئی فرض۔ ایک ایسا فرض جیسے ہر ماں باپ اپنی بیٹی کی رخصتی کے ساتھ نبھاتے ہیں۔ حضرت فاطمہؓ  کو جو ایک مشکیزہ، ایک گدہ اور دو تکیے دیے گئے تھے۔ وہ دراصل ان کی مہر کی رقم سے لیے گئے تھے۔ جسے آج کل اکثر لوگ جہیز کا نام دے کر جہیز کو اسلام سے جوڑنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں۔ آپﷺ حضرت علیؓ  اور حضرت فاطمہؓ  دونوں کی طرف سے ولی تھے۔

آپﷺ نے حضرت علی رضہ سے پوچھا کہ آپ کے پاس مہر دینے کو کچھ ہے؟ آپ نے کہا نہیں، تو آپﷺ نے فرمایا: تمہارے پاس ایک زرہ ہوتی تھی، حضرت علی نے سمجھا زرہ تو جہاد کےلیے ہے، وہ کوئی دولت تو نہیں ہے۔ آپ رضہ نے کہا کہ ہاں وہ ہے، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ اسے بیچ کر یا گروی رکھ کر مہر ادا کرو۔ وہ زرہ حضرت عثمان رضہ نے خرید لی۔ اس رقم سے حضرت علی رضہ نے مہر ادا کیا۔ جس میں سے کچھ رقم حضرت فاطمہ رضہ کے سجنے میں کام آئی اور کچھ سے مشکیزہ، ایک گدہ، دو تکیے، ایک چکی اور ایک دو برتن خرید لیے گے، یہ تھیں وہ چیزیں جو حضرت علی رضہ کے مہر کی رقم سے خریدی گئیں جسے ہمارے یہاں کے لوگ اپنی لاعلمی کی وجہ سے جہیز سمجھتے ہیں۔ لیکن حقیقت میں اس شادی میں ایک پسہ بھی آپﷺ کا شامل نہیں تھا۔

غریب لوگوں کےلیے تو بیٹی کا جہیز بنانا کسی مسلسل اذیت ناک جدوجہد سے کم نہیں ہوتا۔ کہیں باپ برسوں دن رات محنت مزدوری کرکے، تو کہیں ماں راتوں کو لوگوں کے کپڑے سی کر، تو کہیں بھائی پارٹ ٹائم جاب کرکے اپنی بہن کےلیے جہیز جمع کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔ لیکن جہیز مانگنے والے یہ نہیں سوچتے، وہ صرف یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ بہو آئے گی تو ان کا گھر چیزوں سے بھر جائے گا۔

جب ایک عورت ایک ماں کے روپ میں ہوتی ہے تو وہ اپنی اولاد کے بہتر مستقبل کےلیے بہت جتن کرتی ہے۔ لیکن جب یہی عورت ایک ساس کے روپ میں ہوتی ہے تو ظالم اور مطلب پرست ہوجاتی ہے۔ یہی وہ سوچ ہے جسے بدلنا ہے، اگر ایک ساس اپنے بیٹے کو یہ تربیت دے کہ آنے والی اس کی زمہ داری ہے، اس کا جو بھی سامان جہیز کے نام پر لیا جاتا ہے وہ اس لڑکے کو خود بنانا ہے، خود کرنا ہے تو کل اس کی بیٹی سے بھی اس کا داماد جہیز نہیں مانگے گا۔ اس جہیز کی لعنت کو ختم کرنا ہے، تو اپنے گھر اپنی دہلیز سے کرنا ہوگا۔

مرد کی سوچ، اس کی عزت، اس کا وقار عورت کا مان ہوتا ہے۔ آج بھی کچھ مرد ایسے ہیں جو جہیز کو غلط سمجھتے ہیں۔ اس لیے جہیز مانگنے کے بجائے خود بنواتے ہیں۔ خود سے پیسے جمع کرکے خود سامان ڈالواتے ہیں۔ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو واقعی اس جہیز کی لعنت کو، جو ہمارے معاشرے میں بہت شدت کے ساتھ نہ صرف پھیل چکی ہے بلکہ اسے اب مانگنے والے اور دینے والے دونوں غلط نہیں سمجھتے، اس غلط روایت کو معاشرے سے ختم کرنے کی کوشش کررہے ہیں۔ یہ وہ مان ہے جو اس خوبصورت رشتے کو ہمشہ محبت بھرے مان کے ساتھ قائم بھی رکھتا ہے اور اس رشتے کو خود غرضی اور لالچ سے پاک کردیتا ہے۔

کشمیر میڈیا سروس کے مطابق کشمیریوں نے سرینگر، بڈگام ، گاندربل ، شوپیاں، اسلام آباد سمیت دیگر علاقوں میں بھارت اور اسرائیل کے خلاف زبردست احتجاجی مظاہرے کیے اور ریلیاں نکالیں۔ بھارتی فوجیوں اور پولیس اہلکاروں نے اسلام آباد قصبے اور دیگر علاقوں میں مظاہرین کو منتشر کرنے کیلئے پیلٹ گنز اور آنسو گیس کا بے دریغ استعمال کیا جس سے متعدد افراد زخمی جبکہ مزید 3نوجوان شہید ہوگئے۔

دوسری طرف سید علی گیلانی ، میر واعظ عمر فاروق اور محمد یاسین ملک پر مشتمل مشترکہ حریت قیادت نے  بھارتی وزیراعظم نریندر مودی کی آج مقبوضہ وادی میں آمد کے خلاف مظاہروں کی کال دیت ہوئے کہاکہ بھارتی وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی کے مقبوضہ علاقے کے مجوزہ دورے کا مقصد عالمی برادری کو یہ جھوٹا تاثر دینا ہے کہ کشمیری عوام بھارتی جمہوریت کے تحت خوش ہیں حالانکہ بھارت نے مقبوضہ علاقے کو جہنم زار بنارکھا ہے۔

حریت رہنماؤں اورتنظیموں نے لوگوں سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ اس موقع پر اپنے گھروں کی چھتوں اور دیگر مقامات پر سیاہ جھنڈے لہرائیں۔

قابض انتظامیہ نے حریت رہنماؤں سیدعلی گیلانی ، محمد یاسین ملک ، محمد اشرف صحرائی سمیت دیگر کو مارچ کی قیادت سے روکنے کیلیے گھروں یا تھانوں میں نظر بند کر دیا جب کہ دوسری طرف آزادکشمیر کے دارلحکومت مظفرآباد میں چیئرمین پاسبان حریت عزیر غزالی کی کال پر آزادکشمیر بھر سمیت مظفرآباد میں یوم سیاہ کے طو ر پر منانے کا اعلان کردیا اِس سلسلے میں مظفر آباد میں شہید مظفروانی چوک پر شدید احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا گیا جس کی قیادت عزیر غزالی کررہے تھے۔

وفاقی حکومت کی طرف سے قومی فلم سازوں کودی جانے والی مراعات اور ٹیکس میں چھوٹ ملنے کی صورت میں وفاقی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد، لاہور، کراچی، حیدر آباد، گوجرنوالہ، سیالکوٹ، فیصل آباد اورپشاورمیں 130 سینما گھروں کی تعمیر کا آغاز کر دیا گیا، قومی فلم پالیسی کے تحت ملک بھر میں سینما گھروں کی تعمیر پر 26 فیصد ٹیکس میں مکمل چھوٹ دی گئی۔

باخبر ذرائع سے معلوم ہواہے کہ پاکستان سینما اونرز ایسوسی ایشن نے وزارت اطلاعات کو تحریری طور پر آگاہ کیا کہ وفاقی حکومت کی موثر کاوشوں سے ملک بھر میں فلم انڈسڑی کو جدید خطوط پراستوار کرنے اور ٹیکس میں رعایت دینے سے فلم انڈسٹری کیساتھ وابسطہ افراد کو باعزت روزگارکے مواقع میسر آ رہے ہیں اورپاکستانی فلم سازوں کو اس سے فوائدحاصل ہوں گے۔

ہیوسٹن، ٹیکساس: مچھروں کے متعلق ایک اور تشویشناک بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ مچھرصرف ایک بار کاٹ لے تو بھی اس سے مزید امراض کی راہیں کھل جاتی ہیں کیونکہ مچھر کا تھوک جسم کے قدرتی دفاعی (امنیاتی) نظام کو شدید متاثر کرتا ہے۔ یعنی مچھر کا ایک مرتبہ کاٹنا بھی بہت خطرناک ثابت ہوسکتا ہے۔

اس مطالعے کے لیے جینیاتی انجینیئرنگ سے ایسا چوہا بنایا گیا جس میں انسانی خون کے خلیات تھے۔ ماہرین نے جائزہ لیا کہ مچھر کا تھوک اس چوہے کے امنیاتی نظام کو کسطرح متاثر کرتا ہے اور بعض بیماریاں بدن میں تیزی سے کیوں پھیلتی ہیں؟

ہیوسٹن میں واقع بیلر کالج آف میڈیسن نے پہلے ٹرانس جینک چوہے کے پاؤں پر چند تبدیل شدہ مچھروں سے کٹوایا اور ایک ہفتے تک ان کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔ واضح رہے کہ اس تجربے میں چوہے میں انسانی خون کے تمام خلیات موجود تھے جن میں بیماریوں سے لڑنے والے ٹی سیلز بھی ہیں۔

ماہرین نے نوٹ کیا کہ مچھر کاٹنے سے چھ گھنٹے بعد چوہوں میں سائٹوٹوکسن ٹی سیلز کی ذیادہ افزائش ہونے لگی جو متاثرہ خلیات پر حملہ ذیادہ کررہے تھے جبکہ ریگولیٹری ٹی سیلز پر ان کا حملہ اتنا شدید نہ تھا۔ ٹی سیلز امنیاتی نظام کو باقاعدہ بناتے ہیں اور یوں ہم بیماریوں سے محفوظ رہتے ہیں۔

ایک روز بعد خون میں ریگولیٹری ٹی سیلز بڑھے لیکن دوسرے ٹی سیلز کم ہوئے یعنی جسم سوزش کے خلاف نبرد آزما تھا۔ تاہم ایک ہفتے بعد عجیب انکشاف یہ ہوا کہ ماہرین کی ٹیم کو ڈبل پوزیٹو ٹی سیل دوبارہ دیکھنے کو ملے جو خون، جلد اورہڈیوں کے گودے تک میں موجود تھا۔ پھر ریگولیٹری ٹی سیلز بھی کم کم ہونا شروع ہوگئے۔

مختصراً پورے ہفتے مچھے کاٹنے سے ہونے والے اثرات کم یا ذیادہ ہوتے رہے جو ثابت کرتے ہیں کہ مچھر کاٹنے سے جسم میں بہت عرصے تک تبدیلیاں پیدا ہوتی رہتی ہیں۔ تاہم چوہوں پر کئے گئے تجربات کے بعد اس عمل کو انسانوں پر دوہرانا بہت ضروری ہے۔

The wedding of his brother seven years ago drew almost 23 million viewers in the States; given that the Prince is marrying an American, Meghan Markle, the excitement about his own wedding has only intensified. And the drama surrounding Ms Markle's family has sparked a certain surge in fascination, as cable news channels devote lengthy segments to her ailing father Thomas's "will he, won't he" attendance, and scrutinise his ill-judged decision to pose for paparazzi pictures near his home in Mexico. It all means that, come Saturday, the United States will be riding the wave of Royal mania. Of course, the story in itself is a classic fairy tale straight out of a Disney film – a handsome prince meets a glamorous actress, and whisks her off her feet. Yet their nuptials will be, in the hearts and minds of many Americans, more akin to something far more readily identifiable. Mueller outlines scope of Russia probe in court filing

By Sarah N. Lynch WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office on Thursday gave a federal court a classified memo describing the extent of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and other related crimes. The memo was filed in response to questions raised in the court in Virginia two weeks ago by Judge T.S. Ellis that Mueller should not have "unfettered powers." Ellis demanded to see an unredacted copy of the August 2017 memo written by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that defined Mueller's investigative mandate. Ellis will review the memo before deciding whether or not to dismiss charges against President Donald Trump's former election campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Arab League chief calls for international probe into Israel 'crimes'

Arab League chief Ahmed Abul Gheit on Thursday called for an international probe into alleged "crimes" committed by Israeli forces against Palestinians during deadly violence along the Gaza border this week. "We call for a credible international investigation into the crimes committed by the occupation," Abul Gheit said at the opening session of an extraordinary meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo to discuss the violence. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been protesting for seven weeks to be able to return to their historic homes they fled in 1948 and which later became part of Israel.
